2013 USA Triathlon Rankings
It’s kind of fun to see where I stack up against the rest of the county. Every year the USAT comes out with their rankings. Note that only USAT Sanctioned races count…AND the race director has to actually send in the results, which doesn’t always happen. It’s a very complicated ranking system that I have explained before. If you want to know how these scores are calculated, you can check out this post I did last year.
Here are the 2013 races that counted toward my final ranking:
Shelbyville Tri #2 – 82.984
Rev3 Knoxville – 80.365
TriFest – 79.121
Buffalo Trails – 79.901
Cardinal Tri – 80.489
Ironman Louisville – 80.472
Tri For Sight – 79.49
Deer Creek Challenge – 79.714
OVERALL SCORE – 81.298
Final National Ranking – 1,025 out of 4,104 (top 25%)
Final State Ranking – 11th
For comparison, here are my previous rankings:
2012 – 598 out of 3738 (80.977 score)
2011 – 1567 out of 5897 (78.53 score)
2010 – 1539 out of 3133 (74.47 score)
So even though my ranking slipped, my score has improved every year, which is good to see. This basically means that I am getting closer to the winner’s time in each race. I did move up to the 35-39 Age Group this year, and I’m not sure if this is more or less competitive than the 30-34 year olds. I still managed to grab a few podium spots this year, so I’m happy either way.
Be sure and visit all of my sponsor’s websites. I sought out these companies because they provide great products and services.
