I had a total of 38 blog posts in 2014 and I thought it would be interesting to look back and see which one’s were the most popular – based on number of page views.

So here we go…

#3 – Papa John’s 10 Miler and Shelbyville Tri #3 Race Reports (March 28th) – There wasn’t really anything unique about this post and I have a feeling that it received a lot of hits based on people searching for “Papa John’s Race Results”. This was an interesting weekend with the 10 miler on Saturday and the Triathlon on Sunday. What I remember most from that weekend was using a new rear tire that had a flat spot on it. I stopped more than once to make sure my tire wasn’t actually flat.

#2 – Louisville Landsharks Triathlon Race Report (October 2nd) – I’m not surprised that this post received so many views. This was without a doubt my best memory from my 2014 race season. This was the race that I did in tandem with a special needs athlete. Working with Dennis from Athlete’s in Tandem was wonderful. I was very inspired by the whole experience and I can’t wait to do it again!

#1 – Why I Love Small Races (April 3rd) – As I went back to see which blog posts were most popular this past year, I was really happy to see this one at the top of the list. It is one of the few posts I did where I probably stated more opinion than fact. I really do enjoy the local races and especially those put on by Todd, Cynthia and Chase at Headfirst Performance. I was again reminded of this as I did the Hangover Classic 10 Miler running race yesterday. The whole atmosphere before, during and after their races is fun and festive. I can’t wait to see their race schedule for 2015, so that I can start planning my races!

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone that carves a few minutes of our of their busy day to read my blog. When I started it back in 2009, I wasn’t really sure what I would talk about or if anyone would read it. I’m up to over 500 posts now and based on the number of views it sees (around 1,100 per month), either my wife and mom are repeatedly going to the site, or I’m putting some useful information out there. So thanks again and I hope that my 2015 topics bring some great new ideas and information to you!
